Staff was great, we really liked them and they tried their best to accommodate us. Unfortunately the same cannot be said is the rooms. Avoid this hotel! We booked it, because we needed to be near the Moffitt hospital. We stayed in two rooms and both were filthy. They smelled heavily of mold and other bad smells. There was dirt/dust/cobwebs everywhere and we even had someone come knock on our door an hour after we’d used the shower and say water was dripping in to the kitchen. We didn’t have water on the bathroom floor so I’m not sure if it was coming from the toilet or what… but I’d avoid the food here if they have toilet/shower water dripping with in their kitchen. But overall don’t stay here it’s filthy and you will feel sick the next morning.

No complementary breakfast, you have to pay for breakfast! The cook doesn’t understand English so I watched her make an elderly man’s order completely wrong with fruit he probably can’t consume. When he told her his order was wrong she just keep repeating the words “yes” & “avocado toast” back to him. Never fixed the problem. No free laundry! For a hotel to be by Marriott this is absolutely ridiculous. This is NOWHERE you would want to have an extended stay. If you absolutely need somewhere to stay & have money to waste for poor service, this is for you!

I am writing this review at 4:30 am. While in the room. The (filth has given me such anxiety that I can’t sleep.) worst Marriot I have ever stayed in. Upon arrival, late afternoon. We checked in and the desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The first room we were given was so damp and musty. It smelled like it was wet inside and the room was very damp feeling. We went back to the desk and politely asked if we could get a different room. The desk clerk was accommodating but not quite as friendly. We went up to our other room and it to smelled damp and musty but not as bad. Upon entering the room it looked clean, after being in it and unpacking, I noticed that it was not clean. The floor were dirty in the bathroom and main room. All surfaces were left sticky and streaked. Hair was stuck to the surface of the phone along with other debris. I wanted to leave but the husband convinced me to stay. I got out my sanitizing wipes and wiped down all the surfaces. I was inform upon check in that house keeping was every other day. So figuring they wood clean the next day I let it slide. Next day we got a couple of towels, they did t take the old ones and nothing else was touch. I could go on forever. This place is filthy and I do not recommend. It’s gross.

Alert, Alert Alert. This hotel is under major reconstruction. The hotel looks like a it was hit by one of the Hurricanes. There are tarps on the roof and the entrance has been redirected to the East side for entry. The grounds all have dead flowers. Do not listen to the 5-star ratings others have given. Please do yourself and favor and book somewhere else because this information is not posted on their website. We immediately cancelled once I got back to the car and stayed across the street at Marriott Fairfield Inn which was decent. I have followed up with Marriott Bonvoy to inquire about this information and was told they too are not informed when a property is in this status which is a problematic for its members. I will dispute the charge for late cancellations and have opened a case with Bonvoy. I really hope this helps someone. I would never try and discourage for a stay but when travelling with elderly parents and have to redirect can be stressful
